VIDEO: WDHA's Rock N Ruff with Kansas

Last week, Debby was on WDHA's Rock N Ruff with the lovable Kansas. Kansas is a sweet, goofy, energetic hound mix that gets along with people and dogs! Kansas is about a year old and has a lot of puppy fun and energy in him! Poor Kansas had his paw caught in a trap of some sort so while it may look a bit strange it doesn't bother him at all. Kansas could do with some puppy training and attention and would be a great running partner and he is a diamond in the rough who is looking for a family to love him!

Check out the video above for adoption information.

TESTIMONIAL: Fernando Camacho

I've worked with a lot of other dog trainers over the years and Debby is someone who just "gets it." She understands how the canine mind works and does a superb job communicating with people so they know exactly what they have to do to improve their situation with their dog. If you need some dog training or behavior advice, Debby's your girl.

TESTIMONIAL: Cooper

"Here's Cooper now 3 and a half years old. Debbie came over to help us with him when he was about a year old . We couldn't eat at the dinner table without him begging and she showed us ways to stop that and to keep him focused with positive training.

Debby made it easier for all of us in the household as she showed us not only how he behaves but how we behave also. So glad she helped us we are still using her techniques to this day and will continue to do so as it works."

TESTIMONIAL: Rosie

"Shortly after adopting our dog, Rosie, from the Eleventh Hour Rescue we realized that she had some issues. We thought she was just anxious and needed to get used to our family, but unfortunately within a few weeks she had air snapped at my 4 year old daughter twice. Since Rosie was so sweet and well-behaved, we wanted to see what we could do to avoid a third incident and possible return. Returning a rescue dog was something unimaginable to us, so after a lot of debate between my husband and I, we decided to contact Eleventh Hour to see if they had any advice for us. We were referred to Debra DeCastro, certified dog trainer. She spent hours speaking to both my husband and I as we agonized over this decision.

We decided to have an in-home evaluation to confirm our decision. She spent two hours at our house evaluating both Rosie and our two daughters, ages 4 and 7, and how all 3 of them interact with each other. Debby felt that Rosie was not aggressive at all, but had a lot of fear and trust issues which could definitely be addressed. We were relieved by her evaluation and have now had Rosie for a little over three months. Debby has taught us to read some of Rosie's body language and how to work on the behaviors of both Rosie and our daughters. It is still a work in-progress, but with Debby's help, we trust that this work will help keep our entire family together for years to come."

TESTIMONIAL: Bailey

"Yes, you can teach an older dog "new tricks". I have a 9 year old Vizsla named Bailey. We used to go to South Mountain reservation where I let him run off leash. I rarely walked with him on a leash. We don't go to the reservation as often as we would like so now he has to contend with a walk in the neighborhood. This resulted in Bailey taking me for a walk, not much fun. He would pull all the way round the block. It was time for a training lesson from a professional.

After only a one hour lesson from Debra using a 'choke collar' to train him, Bailey now walks by my side. He doesn't pull anymore and it makes the walk pleasant for both Bailey and me. We were very lucky to find such a gifted trainer! I would highly recommend Debra for any sort of dog training."
